At Policastro Law Group, we believe in empowering property owners with knowledge. That is why we are excited to announce the launch of our new podcast series, Florida Is Our Domain, hosted by eminent domain attorney Tony Policastro. In this series, Tony breaks down the legal, practical, and strategic aspects of eminent domain in Florida – helping landowners, business owners, and anyone facing a possible taking understand their rights and options.

Why We Started This Podcast

Eminent domain matters deeply to the property owners we serve. Yet, many find themselves confused by the process, unsure what to expect, or unaware of their rights under Florida law. We created this podcast for several key reasons:

  • Educate current and prospective clients – Our hope is that before someone ever reaches out to us, they already have a clearer understanding of how eminent domain works, what pitfalls to watch out for, and how to protect their interests.
  • Demystify complex legal concepts – From appraisals to severance damages, from negotiation strategies to the timeline of a case, many aspects of eminent domain are nuanced and technical. Tony will break them down in plain language.
  • Build trust and transparency – We want listeners to see how we think, how we approach challenging cases, and the reasoning behind our advice. This transparency helps clients feel confident in choosing us to represent them.
  • Reach a broader audience – Not everyone affected by eminent domain is already a client. A podcast allows us to reach people across Florida (and beyond), even those who may not yet know they need help.

We are proud to kick off the series with two episodes now available. Below you’ll find a brief overview of each, as well as a YouTube link to each podcast.
